Guitar scales

Mixolydian Mode – Guitar

A major scale with a flat 7th: the sound of rock riffs, blues-rock and jam bands over dominant chords.

Formula: 1 – 2 – 3 – 4 – 5 – 6 – b7. The shapes are movable: learn them in one key and slide them to any other. Here it is in C, the most common key to learn it in.
